I smiled at the phrase "couch friends" because everyone seems to know exactly what it means the moment they hear it. Those friendships aren't built around events or perfectly planned calendars. They're built around ordinary life. I also loved the reminder to "not be too cool." So many meaningful relationships probably never begin simply because both people are waiting for the other to make the first move.

Exactly! One of my friends recently called them "soul people," and I like that definition. The relationships where I can be myself get all my time.
