Hi! I’m Here
Welcome to the new era of Shelbi Jones
A few weeks ago, I was in LA and led a values workshop for my friends. Facilitating the Values Bridge is part of my new job, and after we dove into the core of who we are and what we want, I reflected on how meaningful it was to be seen doing the work I am meant to do. I thought about how alive I felt when I finally quit my job. I thought about what a gift it is to give people the language to identify what they truly value, and how thankful I am that I’ve started to live my life very much on my terms.
Today, I’m launching Hi! I’m Here — a space where we find our rhythm together. This is a platform for people who want to live honestly with themselves and with others. Here we gather around the hard stuff, the joy, and the ongoing practice of not betraying ourselves.
Hi! I’m Here! is about embracing the in-between while opening up to the impact of others who help us see ourselves. Solo reflection and introspection took me to new depths, but it was in community with my friends and family that I truly began to live my values. The Substack and podcast I started in my childhood bedroom in Ohio, at the height of the pandemic, during my Saturn Return—yes, all of those at once—was an outlet for self-discovery.
I’m letting go of Define Normal, a name that affirmed how important it is to own our nuance, and showing up for this new chapter with a fresh name that reflects the journey I’ve been on. Right now, I’m focused on what’s real and right in front of me—on building a community that asks “Where do you go when you’re actually trying to live what you’ve learned?” “Who do you talk to while you’re in the thick of change?”
I’ll continue to bring what I always have. More stories, context, humor, and honesty. But now there’s a deeper intention behind it—to create community around the things we usually process alone. Because reflection lands differently when someone else says, “same.” We’re all figuring it out in real time.
Some weeks will feel like a soft landing. Others might feel like a beat drop—a reminder or a reframe that awakens something within you. Either way, you’re right here. And that’s enough to start.
So, welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

Congrats, Shelbi! Excited for what’s to come!
Congratulations and thank you for sharing in this space. Please let me know next you’re in LA. Would love to attend a workshop 🫶🏾
